The Ocean Race

The best sailors in the world departed from Alicante to Cabo Verde on Sunday for the start of Leg 1 and SeaDek Europe is the official deck for this exciting contender in the race for first position.

SeaDek supplies team Viva México in The Ocean Race 2023

As the The Ocean Race kicked off last 15 of January of 2023, the crew of Team Viva Mexico was sure-footed as they departed Alicante en route to Cabo Verde with custom SeaDek non-skid installed throughout their VO65. As the official team of Mexico, Team Viva Mexico is one of only seven teams embarking on a journey that puts the human will and spirit to the ultimate test in some of the fiercest ocean conditions on the planet.

Earlier in the season, Team Vivs Mexico contacted the SeaDek Europe team in hopes of installing SeaDek’s innovative PE/EVA nonskid products throughout their The Ocean Race. With a short timeframe to work around as the boat was undergoing preparations for the race, SeaDek Europe was able to design and cut the parts and perform a stellar installation on the boat—just in time for the beginning of the race. Without SeaDek’s extensive international presence, such a quick turnaround may not have been possible.

Capture

We prepare your boat for SeaDek by removing all oil, dirt, and debris from the surface which promotes proper adhesion. Our certified professionals lay out each part to ensure proper alignment and double-check the fit. Each piece is then carefully installed to transform the look of your boat.
